BEGGING BOWLS VS BATS AND BALLS

Every year during winters   in almost all of north India, especially in Delhi and Uttar Pradesh many homeless people are getting killed. Not by any enemy or any other thing, it’s just because of government’s apathy towards the poor. If it’s wrong can the Delhi government prove that there are not even single death due to the biting cold of winter ?government proudly announces that it had arranged night shelters and blankets etc…,if so then why so many are getting killed. This is the government’s apathy towards poor and needy. The government is only for the rich and influential. Not for ordinary common man.yes government has always funds to give prize money running into crores of rupees but no to poor beggars on road side. Just think one second how many poor people can be fed with the money Delhi government gave to a wrestler [1 crore ] and under 19 cricketer  [25 lakh].  I don’t think this is called as encouragement.it is wasting of resources.
I don’t negate with the governments concept of recognizing people, but I seriously condemn the governments over enthusiasm to shower currency notes on the sports persons. There is also bias in these again they pay only for the glamorous sports. Mostly they shower their money on already rich and affluent players, what difference a crore rupee makes to a cricket player who earns crores of rupees from ad films and other people and organisations. Why public money should be wasted in the name of achievement. There are many sports persons who are living on alms, why don’t the government look at them. Even it notices it offers a meagre help which of no use obviously. A best example is a nation archery winner from Jharkhand sold her bow to meet her financial needs. International archer Nisha Rani Dutta,  had sold her world class archery equipment because of poverty.who cares about persons like this?is this called equality of treatment  in sports.

When there is no money to provide minimum civic amenities to slums and poor and other marginalised people, what right government has to squander public money in the name of “satkar”.even though we had a shameful performance at Olympics the government takes it as pride and announces awards as if nobody can achieve with great pomp and pageantry .and showered the money rain on players. Instead of wasting that in that name of “satkar” why don’t government spend the same to strengthen other sports and sports institutions? It’s our money; we are feeling the brunt of government in the form of raising oil prices, food prices, and transport costs. But these are not at all felt by any affluent player as their accounts are being refilled from time to time by government .what is the need for any government to a add a bucket of drinking water in a mighty river or ocean instead they can be served to those who are in need which could be used efficiently.
For example a badminton player from Hyderabad, last year signed for advertisements and other contracts worth of 50 crore rupees. It’s her personal we don’t bother whether its 50 or 500 but what difference it makes to her when 1 crore rupees awarded by any government. Can’t the government give her a praise note or certificate of achievement and recognize her? What is need for Haryana government to gain give her lakhs of rupees money. Likewise can you show me a beggar in Indian cricket team, if not then why should government spend so much amount to adorn them after winning every match. Funds and encouragement should be given to declining sports and marginalised sports persons, but not to affluent ones. What I strongly believe is no sports men plays for anybody but for himself being chosen it as career. Money can be earned through the sports but cannot be squandered by giving to affluent. Encourage a sport or a sports person till they achieve a stature both financially and game wise. What is the use in making millionaire’s but not real players. Can you show one single Olympic medal winner who performed consistently in the succeeding year?
Government rewards only glamorous sports persons with all sorts of awards whether they deserve or underserve. When people in many states are not able to eat once a day these players are getting money that runs into hundreds of lakhs. Where is justice? Why the voice of poor is not heard to deaf ears of government. Why poor are there even after 65 years of independence. Indian lost the opportunity to blame the British for all its miseries since the independence, so now whom to be blamed the people or the people elected representatives….or our entire system???Whom..??.
Beloved Indian please think about it by keeping your emotions of “fan”isim aside for a whiletowards your player or actor. It’s for all of us. jai hind.
